EKSANGH
Street theatre in India has a history that goes back nearly 5000 years, with roots in Bharata’s Natya Shastra. Today, it continues to thrive as one of the most powerful and direct ways to connect with people.
Unlike stage theatre, street plays (nukkad nataks / sheri nataks) are performed in open spaces — markets, parks, malls, or street corners — where audiences gather naturally. The plays are simple, energetic, and impactful, making them an effective medium to address urgent social issues.
At Eksangh, we use street plays to raise awareness on topics like:
Through theatre, we aim to bridge the gap between awareness and action. A single play performed on a street corner can ignite discussions, challenge norms, and inspire society to move towards a better tomorrow.
The JivanMitra Program trains local villagers to be community health advocates, delivering essential primary care and education right to people's homes. They specialize in screening for chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension, promoting critical lifestyle changes, and addressing fundamental public health needs like access to clean water, clean air, and hygiene. This model effectively bridges the healthcare gap in rural communities by providing culturally sensitive screening and disease prevention.
Key Responsibilities of a JivanMitra:
Eksangh Foundation conducts cancer (Breast, Oral and Cervical) screen ing camps throughout the areas of Gujarat.

Through generous donations, we conduct free:
HPV infections are very common, with 8 out of 10 people getting infected at some point. HPV vaccination can prevent 90% of related cancers.
We are organizing an HPV vaccination program for girls aged 9-26. Girls aged 9-14 will need 2 doses at 0 to 6-12 months, while those aged 15-26 will require 3 doses 0, 2 and 6 months.
Target Reach & Expected Impact
Started sep 17, 2025 at a school in Kanisa. Mitaliji Baxi reached out to me about some children not able to speak properly. On Sep 17th morning where I met some incredible children aged 4-10 who were in need of evaluation and speech therapy.
After the assessment, 15 children began speech therapy sessions every Saturday with Mitiksha Patel, a skilled speech therapist from Khambhat, supplemented by twice-weekly therapy sessions with their teachers.
I'm thrilled to say that within just three weeks, we witnessed remarkable improvements in their speech.
